URGENT! URGENT! URGENT! Labor Enforcement Task Force Is Back & Out Today in Modesto

Last Updated 7/20/2022Posted in Agriculture, Employment Law, In The News, Home, Event

Bureau of Field Enforcement for the Deputy Labor Commissioner, Cal/OSHA inspector and EDD are out today doing seemingly random inspections.  They are bragging about hitting businesses in ag for over $500,000 in penalties.  Be sure to train your employees on field access training and have a designated person to handle field inspections.  Supervisors should only be interviewed with counsel and should never sign anything that counsel has not reviewed.  Make sure you have your IIPP (injury illness prevention plan), HIPP (heat illness) and CPP (COVID prevention plan) on site and up to date.  The labor commissioner is focused on COVID paid sick leave posters (English and Spanish should be posted) and ensuring companies are paying this leave when appropriate.  The task force has also been in Napa and the Central Coast over the last week.  If you need assistance, contact McKague Rosasco LLP
